indoor raised flooring system summary

Mirage PTS flooring system is consisted of metal supporting structures at modular form to allow flexible space design: two main parts components – panels and a substructure.

ADVANTAGES OF THIS SYSTEM

This flooring system is independent of the integral building structures – this allows you to easily replace any slabs, access the raised flooring for maintenance and conceal your wiring and piping.

COMPONENTS SUMMARY

Explore below to find how Mirage PTS indoor flooring system work.

UPPER COVERING IN PORCELAIN STONEWARE

The upper covering could be sourced from any of Mirage porcelain stoneware collections. The slabs are fitted to the structural core, allowing easy installation and removal later on for maintenance purposes. Available slabs sizes included: 45cm x 45cm, 30cm x 60cm, 60cm x 120cm and 30cm x 120cm.

STRUCTURAL CORE

The structural core is depended on the type of porcelain stoneware are being installed. Mirage uses 3 types: Chipboard, Calcium Sulfate and Evoluzione I.

CHIPBOARD

Mirage PTS requires high density chipboard of 720kg/m3 with thickness of 38mm. once our 10mm porcelain slabs are fixed on, the whole panel thickness results to 48mm. The chosen chipboard is also required to comply with all fire regulations and have fire rating of CLASS 1.

CALCIUM SULFATE

Thickness and density of chosen Calcium Sulfate panel is different for each project, please consult our engineering department before purchasing your panels. Average thickness of 40mm is often quite suitable for most projects.

EVOLUZIONE I

Designed and made by Mirage. This supporting material is 15mm thick and able to withstand high humidity environment. The standard density is 2400kg/m3, making this material extremely suitable for many applications.

LOWER SURFACE FINISH

The lower surface finish depends on the type of supports used. For chipboard aluminum or melamine finish is adequate. For calcium sulfate panels, we recommend transparent primer or protected aluminum. For Evoluzione panels, no bottom protection is required.

OUTER EDGE

Every internal panel is squared off at 4 degrees angle and to be covered by a self-extinguishing plaster material along its entire perimeter. A flexible edge of minimum thickness of 0.4mm or 0.6mm, depending on type of panel to run along entire height of the panels to safeguard the bonds.

SUPPORTING STRUCTURE

This structure creates the void underneath our flooring. It is consisted of a load bearing galvanised steel frame, adjustable at heights between 60mm to 1 metre. The head and feet of this frame are coated with soundproof, anti-dust and non-conductive plastic.

TUBULAR STRUCTURE

It’s a special structure that is designed to support high load-bearing requirements, consisting of adjustable columns to house rectangular beams securing to the heads of the columns.

ACCESSORIES

We supply additional accessories to help you better maintaining and installing the system. These included: suction cups to remove panels, plugins for fixing feet, screws for fixing structures, adhesive, access ramps…etc. Please contact our sales department to find our full accessories list.

RAISED FLOORING summary

With the continuous increase in better working-space demands, over the past years Raised Flooring has become extremely popular solution to allow all service piping, wiring and mechanical ventilation and heating system to be hidden away, freeing all flooring space for working and socialising.

PSP

Solid Flooring System provides flat and rigid surface, making it ideal for self-laying porcelain stoneware tiles and slabs without the need of adhesive. It’s also possible to use any size and arrangement of porcelain tiles and slabs to create your desired layout. This system maximises efficiency, functionality and flexibility. The floor tiles can be removed at any time for maintenance and refitting.

KLIMA SOLID FLOOR

Milled panels can be integrated into S0lid Flooring System via raised calcium sulphate screen, creating space for underfloor heating and cooling systems.

The system is consisted of two layers of panels: the top milled panels, made for specific application. Once the systems have been laid, the milled edges can be sealed using chosen finish. This is the prime example of how building techniques and utility systems can be integrated seamlessly from construction.
